J&M Plating has invested in the latest technology dip-spin processing equipment to apply Doerken Delta-MKS® coatings for our marketplaces. In addition, J&M employs processing techniques that will ensure reliable quality & delivery performance.
Doerken high corrosion resistance coating systems are specified by the world's largest OEM's and Tier 1 suppliers that include automotive, construction, electrical, agriculture, heavy equipment, aviation, and other industrial markets. The Delta-MKS® microlayer coating systems yield excellent corrosion resistance while being user friendly to a wide variety of part configurations. Doerken Delta-MKS® coating systems are RoHS/ELV compliant.
Phosphate
Zinc Phosphate conversion coating treatments are used for corrosion protection together with paints, for corrosion protection together with oils and waxes, and for stand-alone corrosion protection. The color of the zinc phosphate coating lies between light and dark gray. Standards that we follow yield either a fine-grain coating or heavy-grain, determined by the application. Heavy-grain is usually chosen for its ability to retain rust preventive oils and waxes since it acts as an absorbent substrate. Fine-grain has a finer crystal structure and is typically used as a base for paint or other organic coatings.
